About Mrs. DemarestAt Harmony Township School, Mrs. Demarest serves two roles- Instructional Coach and Reading Specialist. As a literacy instructional coach she works with teachers through a partnership to improve student progress. As a reading specialist, she provides reading interventions to students in Kindergarten-5th grade under the Response to Intervention (RtI) model. During this time, students work in small groups in her classroom to practice targeted skills. As a certified reading specialist and Wilson Dyslexia Therapist, she administers various reading assessments and conducts professional development trainings for staff members.
